Hello everyone! Thank you so much everyone for your participation and dedication in making sure that our class reunion is not only one of the best, but the very best! I would love to see the class of 2000 come together like we know how and make this reunion nothing short of pure success! Class of 2000 Reunion Schedule of Events
(This information is subject to change based upon final costs and final head count)
 
When: Homecoming weekend 2010
Fri- Homecoming game, 300/Lucky Strikes bowling
Sat- Main Event (Reunion venue to be announced later)
Sun- Family day in the park (Alexander Deussen Park)
 
We currently need someone to work on a class of 2000 website. I will get with my cousin to see if he can unless someone is already familiar with how to do these things. We'd also like to set up pay pal on the website to help generate more money from classmates that can not make it to the fundraising events. I am currently awaiting a response from my cousin to see if he can do this for us.
 
Alessia Calhoun will be checking on a photographer and/or videographer. Hopefully, we will have albums or videos to sell from the many events. Alessia, please respond when you get this confirmed or not so that we can find someone else to do it in time.
 
Also, we'd love to have a slideshow moment during the reunion so any old photos you might have from your old senior books, email them to me. If you can not do this, please msg me and I will give you my address to mail them to me and have them mailed back to you at a later date.
 
Phallen Lemons presented the idea of doing interviews on video about favorite Ike memories. This could be part of the video of teh entire reunion events. I love this idea! Phallen, I'll let you have that. Get with Alessia when she confirms the videographer.
 
Bianca Avery will speak with Tasha Williams about possibly having some t-shirts made. These we would wear on either Fri or Sun of the reunion. Bianca, don't forget!
 
These are the fundraising events we have planned so far. If there is any one you'd like to join in and help out with, please email or contact the committee already established (names in parentheses) and once you guys get the ball rolling, let the rest of us know and we can get in where we fit in!
 
Eisenhower's basketball game, c/o 2000 vs. c/o 2010. Please check on how we can generate our profit through ticket sales and concessions without taking away from our school. (Belinda Michelle, Robert Turner, Corey Williams)
 
Club fundraiser. Here we will try to raise money through club entry and perhaps a drink names after our class or school (i.e, Ike Punch 2000) (Corey Williams, Antonio Coleman)
 
Bus trip to casino, Austin to party on sixth street. (Corey Williams, Twyla Thompson, Kendra Nelson)
 
Flag football game, Ike c/o 2000 vs. Aldine c/o 2000. (Corey Williams)
 
Bowling, skating (Lakesha Lee, Latoya Winfrey)
 
Pizza, Wings, and More. (Krischen Rodriguez)
 
Movie theater. We will try to rent out a theater for the next bug movie and earn money for the reunion through ticket sales.

Another good idea presented for anyone who was part of a team in highschool, contact these members and try to come up with some type of fundraising event through your organization. (Shalee Dorsey- Eaglettes)
 
Jewelry making- fundraising through sales of handmade jewelry (Alessia Calhoun)
 
Bike show. If enough graduating members have or know someone who has a bike, we could try to have some type of bike show and fundraise money through this. (Paul Green, Carlos Burrell)

For the yacht party, if everyone brings a bottle and donates it to the bar, we could have open bar all night! Who's down? lol.

Melissa Martinez's husband is a deejay. Melissa, don't forget to ask him about deejaying at the park as well.
 
Our next reunion meeting has been scheduled for Feb 28th at Clayton's again at 7. We also expect to have our first fundraising event planned and ready to go by then.
